Want to get involved?

Appalachia looks for qualified and talented young musicians who enjoy making music, giving back to communities in the southeast, and who seek networking opportunities with peers from colleges across the southeast. We strive to provide all three of these things in our ensemble and hope you’d consider joining us in our 2023-2024 season!

What to expect:

Each concert weekend is an overnight obligation, and the music is challenging, yet rewarding. We expect commitment to the ensemble from our participants through pre-concert preparation, promotion via social media and at their university, and a positive attitude!

Concert weekends involve several rehearsals (with breaks built-in throughout the day), evening social events, and a performance on the final day of the weekend.

In regards to the amenities Appalachia provides: we provide housing, upon request for participants traveling from out of town. We also provide breakfast on certain days, and facilitate carpooling from major cities throughout the region and coordinate financial assistance for drivers as needed.

If you have any questions about participation in the ensemble, please e-mail appalachiasws@gmail.com
